Robots And Round Numbers

Humans have always fixated on arbitrary round numbers (AMZN bouncing off of a 1 trillion mkt cap late last year is the example in the chart), and it makes sense to me why we should. Easier to remember, easier to do mental math on, shorter to write etc. I wonder if this is happening less with the rise of our Evil Algorithmic Overlords™.
